สวัสดีวัปีใหม่พาให้บรรดาปวงท่านสุขสรร์ทุกวันทุกคืนชื่นชมให้สมฤทัย มั่วได้แค่นี้เองครับ

เห็นนักศึกษามชขยันอ่านหนังสือกันมากๆเลยเต็มห้องสมุดเลยนี่นา

เมื่ออยู่ประถมและมัธยม  ฉลองคริสต์มาสที่โรงเรียนทุกปี  เริ่มต้นด้วยก่อนหน้า ๑ วัน เพื่อนที่วาดรูปเก่งมากจะได้รับมอบหมายให้ใช้ชอล์คสีวาดรูปต้นสนคริสต์มาส  พวงมาลาฮอลลี  ดอกคริสต์มาสสีแดงสด   ของขวัญฯลฯ  บนกระดานเรียน

ถึงวันคริสต์มาส  พวกเราไม่ต้องแต่งเครื่องแบบ แต่จะสวมเสื้อตามกลุ่มสีของโรงเรียน คือฟ้า แดง เหลือง หรือเขียว  นุ่งกระโปรงขาวแบบไหนก็ได้ รองเท้าขาวถุงเท้าขาว   มาร่วมงาน

ในหอประชุม มีต้นคริสต์มาสต้นใหญ่   มีละครให้ดู     พวกเราร้องเพลงคริสต์มาสกัน   มีหลายเพลง กว่าจะจบก็นานกว่าชั่วโมง

เพลงที่ขาดไม่ได้คือ Silent Night ค่ะ

ผมชอบ Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer...

Silent Night ตามประวัติว่าแต่งในออสเตรีย แต่เป็นเพลงที่เพราะจับใจคนหลายชาติหลายภาษา ทำให้มีการถอดแปลเป็นภาษาต่างๆ มากมาย

ผมเคยคลิกเข้าไปอ่านเว็บประวัติเพลงนี้ เห็นมีเนื้อเพลงเป็นภาษาต่างๆ เยอะแยะ แม้แต่ภาษาที่ไม่มีอยู่จริงในโลกแต่คิดขึ้นมาใช้ในหนังนิยายวิทยาศาสตร์ คือภาษาคลิงกอน ก็อุตส่าห์มีคนพากเพียรแปล Silent Night เป็นภาษาคลิงกอนด้วย



ในเมืองไทยเข้าใจว่ามีสำนวนแปลอย่างน้อยสองสำนวน (ไม่ทราบว่าอันหนึ่งเป็นของทางคาทอลิกและอีกอันเป็นของโปรเตสแตนท์หรือเปล่า) อันที่ผมได้ยินมาก่อนตั้งแต่ยังเด็ก ร้องว่า... ราตรีสงัด ราตรีสวัสดิ์ แสงดารา ส่องแสงทั่วหล้า....



ส่วนอีกสำนวนหนึ่ง เพิ่งได้ทราบจากมิตร (คาทอลิก) ในโลกเสมือนในอีกเว็บหนึ่ง เมื่อคริสต์มาสปีที่แล้วนี่เอง ไม่ได้ขึ้นว่า ราตรีสงัด ราตรีสวัสดิ์ แต่ขึ้นว่าอะไรก็ลืมเสียแล้ว เห็นจะเป็นเพราะผมคงแก่แล้ว จำอะไรใกล้ๆ ไม่ได้ ไพล่ไปจำได้แต่อะไรที่เคยรู้มาเมื่อเป็นเด็กหลายปีโน้น



อีกเพลงที่ผมชอบ คือ Silver bell ครับ



ที่ที่อยู่ตอนนี้อากาศลงฮวบราวเกือบ ลบ 10 เซลเซียส หลังจากหลอกให้เรานึกว่าปีนี้จะไม่ค่อยหนาวอยู่หลายวัน (เห็นว่าอุตสาหกรรมท่องเที่ยวของสวิสจะแย่เอา เพราะไม่มีหิมะมากพอ ไม่มีคนเล่นสกี) แต่ตอนนี้หนาวแล้ว บนเขาจะมีหิมะมากพอหรือยังไม่รู้ ข่าวว่า เป็นหน้าหนาวที่หนาวที่สุดในรอบ 30 ปี ของสวิส ลือกันว่า ถ้าโชคดี อาจจะมีไวท์คริสต์มาส ผมอาจได้ร้องเพลง I 'm dreaming of a White Christmas ปีนี้ที่นี่ก็ได้ครับ
