This is the first exhibition to survey the history of photography of our region – from India and Sri Lanka,
Southeast and East Asia, Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands to the west coast of North America.
It features pioneer local photographers as well as Europeans working in the region.
The exhibition reveals the rich heritage and the many outstanding achievements of the first century of photography  in the Asia–Pacific region.

คุณ gael newton Senior Curator of Photography NGA ส่งข่าวมาว่าจะมีนิทรรศการสำคัญ อยากให้สนใจ
"I would like to post you an invitation as Francis Chit is illustrated."

ในคำอธิบายตอนหนึ่ง ผู้จัดระบุถึงท่านจิต ว่า
In Thailand, Francis Chit (Khun Sunthornsathitsalak, 1830–1891) was a Thai Christian who learnt photography from the French Bishop in Bangkok.
Chit was court photographer to King Mongkut (Rama IV) and his son Chulalongkorn (Rama V).
He started his own studio in Bangkok in 1863, catering to foreigners for the most part.
Chit made portraits and landscapes, including one of the earliest and largest panoramas in Asia.

ถือว่าเป็นนิทรรศการประวัติศาสตร์การถ่ายรูปของเอเชียชนิดเต็มรูปแบบ ครั้งแรกทีเดียว
คุณเกลเข้ามากรุงเทพ เพื่อชมนิทรรศการที่โรงแรมคอนราด ปีก่อน (มีกระทู้หนึ่ง กล่าวถึงนิทรรศการนี้ แต่ผมหาไม่เจอครับ)
ได้เลือกซื้อรูปเหล่านั้นกลับหอศิลป์แห่งชาติ และได้นำเสนอในนิทรรศการนี้ด้วย

ตามเคยครับ
ผมอ่านข้อมูลที่เผยแพร่แล้ว เห็นว่าไม่ตรงกับที่ผมเข้าใจ ได้ทักท้วงไป
เขาบอกว่าเอกสารพิมพ์เสร็จสมบูรณ์ไปแล้ว เสียใจ......
แต่จะหาทางทำเอกสารแนบภายหลัง
(อันนี้อาจจะเป็นวิธีบอกว่า "ไม่เชื่อ" แบบสุภาพกระมัง....55555)

นำมาลงเผื่อเจ้าหน้าที่ของเสียมก๊กจะตระหนักรู้ว่า ท่านเป็นเจ้าของแท้จริงของสิ่งทรงคุณค่าของมนุษย์ชาติ
ออสเตรเลียเขาไม่เกี่ยวไรด้วย เขายังทุ่มเททำเสียขนาดนี้ น่ายกย่องจริงๆ

ตรงไหนรู้ไหมคะ
เจอภาพงามๆของไทยไปเรื่อยๆ เลื่อนเมาส์ไปเจอภาพคนอื่น ตกใจ
ไม่สวยสง่างามเท่าเจ้าของเราเลย
