กระทู้: รำลึก ๒๕ ปีเอลวิส เพรสลี่ย์ เริ่มกระทู้โดย: เทาชมพู ที่ 20 ส.ค. 02, 07:19  เมื่อ ๑๖ สิงหาคม ๑๙๗๗ เอลวิส เพรสลีย์จากไป ถ้าหากว่าอยู่มาถึงวันนี้ เขาจะอายุ ๖๗ นับว่าไม่มากเลยเมื่อเทียบกับดารานักร้องคนอื่นๆ ที่อยู่กันจนถึง ๘๐ กว่าก่อนจะล่วงลับไป แต่เอลวิสจากไปตั้ง ๒๕ ปีแล้ว ตายเมื่ออายุแค่ ๔๒ เท่านั้นเอง /> เป็นชีวิตที่สั้นมากสำหรับนักร้องเจ้าของสมญา The King of Rock'n' Roll ราชาเพลงร็อคที่ยิ่งใหญ่ที่สุดของสหรัฐอเมริกา |
 เอลวิสเกิดเมื่อค.ศ. ๑๙๓๕(พ.ศ. ๒๔๗๘)ในครอบครัวยากจนสุดสุด ณ เมืองTupelo, รัฐMississippi เรียนจบชั้นมัธยมแล้วก็ไม่ได้เรียนต่อ ไปยึดอาชีพขับรถบรรทุก เป็นชนชั้นแรงงาน นิสัยเขาเป็นคนรักดนตรี เฝ้าแต่ติดตามฟังดนตรีของคนดำ ซึ่งมีมากมายในรัฐนั้น จนกระทั่งขึ้นใจ วันหนึ่งเขาไปอัดเพลง เป็นส่วนตัวเพื่อมอบให้แม่เป็นของขวัญวันเกิด เจ้าของสติวดิโอเห็นแวว ก็เลยชวนมาเป็นนักร้องกับวงคนดำ เอลวิสนำลีลาของเพลงgospel, blues และอื่นๆของคนดำ มาผสมผสานเข้ากับแนวคันทรีของคนขาว กลายเป็นเพลงป๊อบที่โด่งดังขึ้นมาเป็นพลุ |
 จากนั้นเขาก้าวเข้าสู่ฮอลลีวู้ด เล่นหนังเมื่อ ๑๙๕๘ อายุได้ ๒๓ ปี เป็นหนัง ที่วัยรุ่นคลั่งไคล้กับเพลงมากกว่าเนื้อเรื่องหรือบทบาทการแสดง |
 เพลงของเขาขึ้นอันดับหนึ่งมากมายจำไม่ไหว ร็อคแอนด์โรลกลายมาเป็นจังหวะเพลงที่วัยรุ่นทั้งโลกรู้จัก เต้นเป็น ไม่ไยดีกับคำประท้วงของพ่อแม่เวลาผ่านไป ช่วง ๑๙๖๐ ยังเป็นทศวรรษของเอลวิส จนกระทั่ง สี่เต่าทอง The Beatles เข้ามาแทนที่ความนิยม |

| เพลง Hawaiian Wedding Song ไม่ใช่ฝีมือเอลวิสเป็นผู้แต่งอย่างที่มักจะเข้าใจกันค่ะ เป็นงานประพันธ์เพลง ของนักแต่ง ๓ คน ชื่อ Charles E. King, Al Hoffman และ Dick Manning แต่เอลวิสนำมาร้องในหนัง Blue Hawaii ทำให้เพลงเป็นที่รู้จักกันทั่วโลก อีกคนที่ร้องเพลงนี้ได้เพราะมากๆ คือ Andy Williams  |
| ขอบคุณค่ะ มีคนบอกดิฉันผิด ว่าแกแต่งเอง ร้องเอง หลายๆคนชอบ Andy Williams ร้องมากกว่าเอลวิสอีกค่ะ หนังสือ น.ว.ล. เกรด 11 ของดิฉันเล่มหนึ่งชื่อ A Walk across America by Peter Genkin เล่าเรื่องเทือกเขาสโมคกี้ รัฐเทนเนสซี ไว้อย่างน่าสนใจ ดิฉันแวะไปที่นั่นช่วงปีใหม่ แต่ถนนปิด กลับตื่นตาตื่นใจ ที่ต้นไม้รายทางทางที่ขึ้นไปอุทยานฯ เขาประดับธงสีๆมีรูป Elvis บนธง อย่างเชิดหน้าชูตามาก ขากลับพอหลงเข้าไปในดาวน์ทาวน์เมมฟีส มีการฉลองสัปดาห์เอลวิสอยู่พอดี เห็นการประกวดร้องเพลงเอลวิส และแต่งแฟนซีเลียนแบบ มีผู้เข้าประกวดร่วม 20-30 คน แต่ละคนมีจอนข้างหูหนาๆ มองเผินๆ เหมือนมากค่ะ -Autumn leaves at the Great Smoky  |
